Wash Day Tea đŸ”

What's your vibe?

Are you the type to plan your wash day routine, or are you the type to go with the flow and hope for the best đŸ€”

Let's get straight to the tea while it's still smoking hot.

For many, wash day is stressful, especially If you don't have a wash day routine. Then what are you doing? Without a habit, the entire process is dragging while we work harder and not smarter. We all know how crazy a wash day can be. We sit and dread the day as it gets near. I think because you mentally have to be prepared, and you have to map out your assault on your hair strategically. If you are natural, just the thought of detangling and moisturizing can be overwhelming.

Where do we begin?

So let's start by saying you are not alone. I do know what it feels like preparing for wash day. What you should keep in mind are the products you use play a significant role in how much work you will need to put in. I try to live by the model, working smarter and not harder, significantly when cutting down on the time I'm spending on detangling and moisturizing.

Hair care regimens may differ according to an individual’s culture and the physical characteristics of their hair. So understanding your hair and what works best for you is essential when starting this journey.

Why is the Wash day routine needed?

A wash day routine is needed because natural hair needs to be clean and nourished to thrive. Having a clean scalp is essential for hair health. Not washing or adequately washing long enough can cause many scalp issues. Mainly, a routine needs to consist of shampoo, conditioner, and one or two styling products depending on the style. You don't need to dump all hair products on your hair to see results. Try focusing on the products that have the benefits that your hair needs. When considering products, Less is best, so you can then monitor what works and what doesn't.

Moisturizing Hair Care System

We have been working hard to create a complete hair care system that is easy to use and works great on all textures. In steps, we have come up with a design using Black Castor Oil

Moisturizing Shampoo with Black Castor Oil

Hair Care System Step #1

Black Castor Oil Shampoo contains natural ingredients that are not drying, nor does this shampoo strip your hair of natural oils.

Black Castor Oil works for all hair types. It will moisturize, thicken, strengthen and rapidly increase hair growth. It increases blood flow to the scalp, supplying valuable nutrients to hair follicles. It helps to prevent hair breakage, dandruff, or itchy scalp

Moisturizing Black Castor Oil Deep Conditioner

Hair Care System Step 2

The thick creamy texture leaves your hair moisturized and soft. Black castor oil help stimulates hair growth, targets balding, strengthens follicles, and moisturizes hair and scalp that is dry. Added to Conditioners for the strengthing properties, it will help soften and conditions hair making it easy to comb thru and manage. It comes in either a bottle or a jar.

Black Castor Oil Leave in Hair mist

Hair Care System Step 3

-Thicker with slip making detangling a breeze.

-Leave In Hair Mist with Black Castor Oil is a rich Misting leave-in hydrating spray that moisturizes dry hair to help alleviate dryness and breakage with added benefits. The thicker texture makes it great for your comb-out or detangling process.

Universal product: All ages

Let's Keep In mind

All hair textures are different and unique. Find the products that work best for your hair's needs. Not all products are created equal, nor will they have the same results as others. Let's keep in mind; that it is trial and error. Start your regimen with a clean scalp: shampoo and Condition your hair. Make sure to pay attention to your ends. Use a deep conditioning treatment to keep your hair strong and healthy, and if you have breakage and severe damage, you should use products to target your problem. Treatments are crucial, along with knowing when to give your scalp and hair a break.

Many believe a hair care regimen is a bunch of steps and products that drag out wash day, but in reality, it is as simple as you make it, although yes, it is steps and methods you do regularly to maintain healthy and beautiful hair. Setting aside time to love your hair is not too much to ask; adding a combination of cleansing, conditioning, styling techniques, and hair treatments. The specific regimen varies depending on the individual's hair type, texture, and overall health. However, a basic hair care regimen typically involves washing the hair regularly, using a conditioner to help detangle and moisturize the hair and avoiding excessive heat styling and chemical treatments. Another important thing we hate to do is trim those dead strands that we hold on to with regular trims and deep conditioning treatments; the hair is healthy and strong while preventing damage and improving hair texture and shine, which promotes hair growth.

I have added an example of a Hair care regimen with steps; as you know, tailoring the actions to your needs is best. Caring for your hair is essential to maintaining healthy and beautiful locks.

Start with a gentle shampoo: Choose one suitable for your hair type and scalp needs. To maximize the benefits, it's best to slowly massage your scalp to stimulate blood flood while shampooing, moving down from the scalp to your hair, then rinse thoroughly. Use one of the massaging shampoo brushes; they feel so good.

Condition your hair: Do not get carried away and dump the whole bottle, but do not be cheap either; add the conditioner to the midsection and ends of your hair, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, thoroughly rinse it out.

Use a hair mask or treatment: Once a week, use a hair mask or treatment for a boost to help get your hair healthy. For best results, use the product to dampen hair. You can leave it on for the recommended time; as we know, following manufacturer instructions is always better than rinseing.

Use a good heat protectant Spray: If you use heat styling tools at this point, you should proceed with caution to not damage your hair with heat tools such as a hair dryer, straightener, or curling iron.

Avoid over-washing:  This step is always questionable when you use many products, but let us consider this: frequently washing your hair can do the reverse and dry it out while stripping the hair of its natural oils.

Get regular trims: Regular trims can help prevent those annoying split ends and keep your hair looking healthy.

A hair care regimen helps you maintain the health and appearance of your hair while making a complicated task less complicated. In this situation, consistency is your best friend. Developing and sticking with a uniform hair care regimen has countless benefits in the long run to improve your hair health. We must not forget about longevity; this is where consistency comes into play we love that flatiron; keeping up with your hair regimen is crucial if you frequently use heating tools on your hair or use hair products that contain harsh chemicals. A hair care regimen that includes regular deep conditioning treatments and protective hairstyles can keep your hair healthy and minimize the risk of damage.

Secondly, a hair care regimen can help to promote hair growth. For regular scalp massages and natural oils, check out our hair and treatment oils that target hair loss and dry scalp. Do not be alarmed by my following add-on: switching your lifestyle and adding a healthy diet to stimulate hair growth.

Thirdly, notice the pattern of each step and how I start with the reminder a hair care regimen can help improve your hair's overall appearance. Regularly washing, conditioning, and styling your hair can keep it shiny, healthy, and beautiful. At this point, it is crystal clear that taking care of your hair can prevent damage, promote hair growth, and enhance the appearance of your hair.

Now, let's spill all the tea: What happens if you don't have a hair care regimen? You may experience various problems with your hair's health, appearance, and manageability. Cutting corners on a proper hair care routine leaves your hair vulnerable, feeling dry, brittle, and prone to breakage with split ends, frizz, a lack of shine, and itchy, flaky scalp, which can cause discomfort and embarrassment. A hair care regimen is essential to your hair. Taking extra care helps protect from damage caused by styling tools and chemical treatments.

So, what should you do that works best for your hair texture? Here is a breakdown of hair care regimens by hair texture that I think is a no-brainer and will give lots of benefits.

Straight Hair: Straight hair is typically the easiest to manage and style. However, it can become greasy quickly since the oils from the scalp travel down the hair shaft easily. To maintain healthy, straight hair, use a gentle shampoo and conditioner.

Wavy Hair: Wavy hair is sometimes a challenge to maintain understanding wavy hair is more prone to frizz and dryness. Use a shampoo and conditioner that is moisturizing to keep the hair hydrated. Try a deep conditioning treatment weekly to maintain healthy hair. Use a diffuser when blow-drying to enhance the natural waves, and avoid using a brush when hair is dry to prevent frizz.

Curly Hair: Curly hair is the most delicate and requires much attention. No matter the texture or length, sulfate-free shampoo, and a moisturizing conditioner are ideal to avoid drying out the hair. A leave-in conditioner is also helpful in maintaining moisture throughout the day. Avoid brushing curly hair when dry, as it can cause breakage and frizz. Instead, detangle with a wide-tooth comb while the hair is wet.

Coily Hair: Coily hair is the most fragile and requires moisture. Try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for hydration and leave-in hair oil to maintain moisture throughout the week. Detangle using a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush; you have more control and slip when the hair is wet and saturated with conditioner.

Products that cater to your hair texture are essential to maintaining healthy and beautiful hair. Avoid using too much heat, and be gentle when detangling to prevent breakage and frizz.
